WEBSITE TERMS & INFORMATION

Terms & Conditions

Clear information about using this website and the services described here.

About these terms

These Terms & Conditions apply when you use irene-stone.co.uk.

This website is owned and operated by Irene Stone, an independent counsellor and clinical supervisor. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the website.

Information on this website

The information provided on this website is for general information only. I take reasonable care to keep it accurate and up to date, but it should not be treated as a substitute for individual professional advice, assessment, diagnosis, medical care or emergency support.

Visiting the website, submitting an enquiry or exchanging an initial email does not create a counsellor–client or supervisor–supervisee relationship. A professional relationship begins only when this has been expressly agreed.

Client Agreements

Counselling, couples counselling and clinical supervision are governed by separate written agreements provided directly to clients and supervisees.

These agreements cover matters such as appointments, fees, cancellations, confidentiality and the practical arrangements for working together. If there is any difference between these website terms and a signed client or supervision agreement, the separate agreement will apply to the professional service.

Emergencies and urgent support

This website and its contact facilities are not an emergency or crisis service and are not monitored continuously.

If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services or attend your nearest Accident and Emergency department. For urgent health or mental-health support, contact an appropriate NHS service or your GP.

You may use this website only for lawful purposes.

You must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems
• Introduce viruses, malicious software or other harmful material
• Interfere with the website’s operation or security
• Use the website in a way that infringes another person’s rights

This website may contain links to other websites for information or convenience. I do not control third-party websites and am not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices.

The inclusion of an external link does not necessarily mean that I endorse the organisation, service or information provided.

Website availability and security

I take reasonable steps to keep the website available and secure. However, I cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or free from harmful material.

Access may occasionally be suspended or restricted for maintenance, updates or circumstances outside my control. You should use appropriate security software and take reasonable precautions when accessing websites.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded or limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights.

Subject to this, I am not responsible for loss resulting from reliance on general information on this website where individual professional advice should reasonably have been sought.
